BUT YOU STILL WANT TO MAKE A CHOICE
When you start any practice, it takes time to learn it, and to discover how to use it in our life. You don't just use martial arts whenever, or do yoga poses at the bank (no matter what Instagram says), or start journaling in an unsafe environment. Just like you don't just whip our your new Slayer album all willy nilly, but here's the real test.
CAN YOU STAND BEHIND YOUR CHOICES?
You walk up to the counter to purchase your records, cd's, or tapes. The smokin' hot, super cool person at the counter starts sorting through your selection. Do you:
- Think oh crap they're gonna see my Dave Matthews album and judge me?
- Stand behind your choices?
- Ask them if they have any suggestions?
This reminds me of the old days of practicing yoga in the south. It was not that supported, I was called things that would now have gotten those people cancelled. The lack of support and all the resistance was a gift though. As the journal journey book and course (hint hint) suggests. FLIP THE SCRIPT. It's asking if you really want to do the work, because if artists did things for universal acceptance. Most of those albums you bought would never have been made. This wellness work would never be needed.
A good holistic practitioner walks up to that counter, smiles, and says, "Yes, I happen to like Slayer and The Cure, oh and... could you order me the Elvis Christmas album?"
Practice, seek, and see the correlations between all the work in this site and how it fits into every situation you are in. Build the lens to be creative and not have to have everything spelled out for you. Adventure is everywhere.
